Beer Pumps

Beer pumps or Picnic pumps are portable units designed to operate at any indoor or outdoor event and Wholesaledraft has many styles to choose from. Icing your keg, attach the pump to the beer barrel and hand pump is all the instruction needed. No electricity or Co2 tank is needed.  These are perfect when all of the beer is consumed within 24 hours.  Because there is no Co2 being used, beer will go flat after a period of time. We've been asked many times if a hand pump can be used to dispense beer out of a refrigerator. Unfortunately, as previously mentioned, you need Co2 to keep the keg of beer fresh over an extended period but pumps are perfect for any daily event.

Splitting Your Co2 Line

If ever you decide to tap more than one barrel at a time, you will need to split your Co2 line. There are a couple different ways. The easiest, and least expensive, is to purchase an air tee, #0190. Simply cut your Co2 hose, insert one end of the tee, and then you are able to push 2 air lines on the fitting and run them to your barrels. Make sure you use hose clamps (#6202) to attach the air hose to the tee so you don't lose any Co2. We also make Air Distributors so you can have an air shutoff on each Co2 line. For instance, our #0123C is a 3 way air distributor which will dispense up to 3 barrels of beer. Again simply run your air line from your primary regulator into the gas inlet fitting on the air distributor. Then, attach up to 3 airlines, 1 off each air shutoff, and run them to your barrels. This is the most convenient way to split your Co2 lines because you now have an air shutoff for each barrel. When 1 of your barrels is out you can simply shut off the air cock which goes to that barrel, un-tap and re-tap a new barrel, and then turn your shutoff back on. You do not need to shut down your whole system. These Air Distributors are available with up to 6 air shutoffs on line, and can be special ordered up to 10 or more!
